I visited the CIPC today and met with the center head. He was very professional and was able to solve almost all my headaches at no cost. Perhaps that’s why Cebu is one of the best marketed cities in the Philippines.
PEZA is the Filipino agency which handles foreign owned investments into the Philippines. This means if you are a Call Center, Factory, or BPO that does 100% of your business outside the Philippines you will be given numerous incentives such as 4 year tax holiday. Even a resort that caters to foreign tourists can be PEZA registered as long as up to 70% of their occupancy is dedicated to foreign guests.
Which leads me back to the point that CIPC was very helpful in securing the paperwork. It seems that Cebu is business friendly.
